Frequently asked questions (and answers) about the Smoresoft registration process.
1. A valid e-mail address is required so we can send your registration code.
2. A one-time data connection from your mobile device to the Internet is required to complete the registration process.
You can use an ActiveSync pass-through connection to a computer that has an Internet connection.
No. You only need a data connection when you register. During the registration process, a license is saved on your device. As long as the license is on your device, the Internet connection is not used again.
If you wipe your mobile device, you will have to re-install the game. When you start the game, you will be prompted for your registration code. Enter the same registration code you originally used to register the game on your device.
We can re-send your registration code to the same e-mail address you originally used to register.
The registration process sends your registration code and a unique identifier for your device to the registration service. The registration service confirms your registration code and responds with a license which is then saved on your device.
As a standard part of the connection process, your device IP address is known to the registration service.
We keep your e-mail address and registration code so we can re-send your registration if you lose it. We may also use your e-mail address to contact you about the release of a new major version of the game (very infrequent).
We store a unique identifier for your device so you can re-register it if it is wiped. We also use this identifier to ensure that each registration is used for only one device.
